Last Men Standing – Documentary and Panel Discussion – 6:00pm
Portland Museum of Art, 6:00 pm, followed by panel with filmmaker Erin Brethauer, moderated by Diane Atwood
Last Men Standing follows eight Bay Area men who “had the remarkable luck to survive AIDS, and the brutal misfortune to live on.” The first feature-length documentary from The San Francisco Chronicle was selected for entry into a series of prestigious film festivals in the U.S. and Canada. Erin Brethauer, who wrote, directed and produced the film (with Tim Hussin) will join us for a panel discussion, moderated by Diane Atwood, which will include long-term survivors from our own community, as well as providers who have worked with HIV/AIDS patients since the beginning of the epidemic.
