At the end of March, 2016, the City of Portland proposed a budget that included cutting Portland Public Health Programs. The plan included transitioning services provided by India Street Public Health Center to Greater Portland Health, formally Portland Community Health Center, beginning January 1, 2017.
As the community-based provider of comprehensive HIV/AIDS services, Frannie Peabody Center remains committed to supporting people impacted by HIV/AIDS in accessing quality care. When potential changes to the City’s programs arise, our medical case managers are here to assist clients with navigating the healthcare system, which includes connecting to primary and specialty care, and helping to link individuals to the resources that best meet their needs.
Below are resources and updates from local HIV providers involved in supporting the continuity of care for people impacted by the future transitioning of services.
