Frannie Peabody Center is proud to be the recipient of a generous bequest of $40,000 from the Estate of Wilhemina Phinney.

During her lifetime, Mrs. Phinney’s son Peter contracted HIV early in the history of the epidemic and later died of AIDS. Shortly before his death, Peter asked Wilhelmina to make the Frannie Peabody Center donation upon her own passing. In paying tribute to the memory of the younger Phinney’s struggle with the disease, Mrs. Phinney’s wish was to memorialize her son through their joint desire to assist others who struggle with HIV/AIDS. We are honored by the Phinney family’s commitment to improving the lives of people living with HIV/AIDS in the state of Maine and would like to extend our deepest gratitude for their selfless generosity.

If you or any of your own family members are interested in making memorial donations or bequests, please contact Ed Corley, Director of Development at ecorley@peabodycenter.org

Chosen after a highly selective national search, FPC Executive Director, Patti Capouch, recently attended the UCLA/Johnson & Johnson Healthcare Executive Program, a management development program exclusively for Executive Directors and leaders of community-based health care organizations in the U.S.

For two intensive weeks at The Anderson School of UCLA, approximately 40 national directors, including Patti, engaged in a program providing new tools, techniques and approaches to confront mounting healthcare challenges in our community. This unique program was funded entirely by Johnson & Johnson at no cost to FPC. Patti and FPC would like to extend our gratitude to Johnson & Johnson for making this impactful program possible.
